The Greenville Public Library is renovating the main service area the week of April 16. The Library Board has been planning an addition to the building for several years, but has not been able to put a bond issue on the ballot. This renovation will reduce staff work areas in order to increase public service space within the confines of the current facility.
The renovations were completed and the Library opened to the public on Tuesday, April 24, which was our busiest single day ever. We served 1,039 walk-in patrons that day, which is one-tenth of our normal monthly count!
